Uchen is developed and published by Tenzin Thinley, an independent app developer. This Privacy Policy explains how the Uchen app ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information.

Data We Collect
Uchen is designed to work fully offline. The table below describes everything that is stored or collected when you use the app.

Advertising — Google AdMob
The free version of Uchen displays banner and interstitial advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the following information to serve and measure ads:
What AdMob may collect
- Device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
- IP address (used to approximate general location for ad targeting)
- Device type, operating system version
- App usage data (ad impressions, clicks, interactions)
- Crash logs related to ads
We have configured AdMob with child-directed treatment enabled, which limits data collection and disables personalized advertising in compliance with COPPA and GDPR.

On iOS 14.5 and later, we request your permission via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before accessing your advertising identifier. You can change this permission at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
Purchasing Uchen Pro removes all ads from the app. No ad data will be collected after purchasing Pro.
In-App Purchases
Uchen Pro is available as a one-time non-consumable purchase. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We never see or store your payment card details.
We use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements. RevenueCat stores an anonymous user identifier linked to your purchase receipt to verify Pro status across reinstalls. No personally identifiable information is shared with RevenueCat.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Uchen is designed to be suitable for all ages, including children. We take children's privacy seriously and have implemented the following protections:
- No account creation or personal information is required
- AdMob is configured with tagForChildDirectedTreatment = YES and maxAdContentRating = G
- Personalized advertising is disabled
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
- All learning data is stored locally on the device and never transmitted
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at tibetandeveloper22@gmail.com and we will promptly delete it.
Data Storage & Security
All learning data (progress, streaks, scores) is stored exclusively on your device using SQLite and iOS/Android system storage. This data:
- Is never transmitted to our servers (we don't have any)
- Is protected by your device's built-in encryption
- Will be deleted if you uninstall the app
- Can be backed up via iCloud or Google backup if you have enabled device backups

Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access — request information about what data we hold about you
- Deletion — request deletion of your data (for on-device data, simply uninstall the app)
- Opt-out of ad tracking — disable tracking via iPhone Settings → Privacy → Tracking, or Android Settings → Privacy → Ads
- GDPR (EU users) — you have rights to access, rectify, and erase personal data under GDPR
- CCPA (California users) — you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale (we do not sell personal data)

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of Uchen after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
