We do not collect personally identifiable information. However, the following data may be processed:
- Translation text: Text you enter is sent to Google Cloud Translation API solely to perform the translation. It is not stored on our servers.
- Device information: Basic device data such as OS version and device model may be collected by third-party SDKs for analytics and advertising purposes.
- Advertising data: Google AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads.
- Crash reports: Anonymous crash data may be collected to improve app stability.
3. How We Use Information
Information is used solely for the following purposes:
- To provide translation services between Amharic and English.
- To display advertisements through Google AdMob.
- To send scheduled practice reminders via local notifications. No notification data leaves your device.
- To diagnose crashes and improve app performance.

This app integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

5. Advertising & App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
This app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. On iOS devices, we request permission to access the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be less personalized. You can change this preference at any time in Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
On Android, AdMob may use the Google Advertising ID. You can reset or opt out in Settings > Google > Ads.
6. Data Retention
We do not store translation text or personal data on our own servers. Any data processed by third-party services such as Google Cloud Translation is subject to their respective retention policies. Local notifications and app preferences are stored only on your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the app.
7. Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it promptly.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information transmitted through the app. All translation requests are made over encrypted HTTPS connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal data held about you.
- Opt out of personalized advertising.
- Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
